This marked the first time we've seen snakeskin boots in the NRL, and it certainly turned heads. Mooney's choice of footwear not only added a touch of exotic flair but also raised questions about the influence of designer collaborations in sports.
The Rise of the Oxen
But it's not just about snakes; the Oxen brand has been making significant waves in the NRL. During Magic Round, we couldn't help but notice the increasing presence of Oxen's Metasock 2026, with a whopping 10 players rocking the Yellow and Orange colorways simultaneously. This clever marketing strategy, inspired by Tracy McGrady's iconic mismatched shoes, has certainly caught the attention of fans and sparked curiosity.
